Endgame by Willa Gray
Okay so I just finished Endgame by Willa Gray and I genuinely loved this one. Matt and Ellie’s story felt so satisfying to read, especially because it wasn’t built around a ton of unnecessary drama or chaos. Instead, it focuses more on their connection, their growth, and how everything between them slowly comes together.
Matt and Ellie are such a good match as characters. Their dynamic feels natural and easy to get invested in, and I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop throughout the book. There’s a lot of emotional depth in the quieter moments between them, and those scenes honestly ended up being some of my favorites. It’s the kind of story where you start rooting for them pretty quickly because you can feel how much they matter to each other.
What I liked most about this book is that it doesn’t try to force conflict just for the sake of it. Instead, the story focuses on the journey these two characters have taken and the way their relationship evolves over time. It feels grounded and genuine, which made the ending hit even harder for me because you’ve watched everything build up to that point.
And the ending? So satisfying. It really felt like the perfect way to wrap up Matt and Ellie’s story. When I finished the last page I had that feeling where you just sit there for a minute because you’re not ready to leave the characters yet.
Overall this was such an enjoyable read for me. It had heart, great character chemistry, and a story that keeps you invested without relying on a bunch of over-the-top twists. If you enjoy relationship-focused stories where the emotional connection between the characters really shines, this one is definitely worth picking up.
Now I’m honestly just excited to see what Willa Gray writes next because if it’s anything like this book, I’m already adding it to my TBR.
